I ordered the Catfish and Grits, and when I tell you this dish deserves its own standing ovation, I mean EVERY WORD! This wasn't just breakfast or brunch; this was the kind of meal that makes you stop mid-bite, look down at your plate, and wonder why you haven't been eating here sooner! What makes a restaurant memorable isn't just having good food; it's serving something so good that people can't stop talking about it afterward. And here I am, STILL talking about these Catfish and Grits! Uptown Kitchen & Bar, you have officially given me a new craving! To anyone reading this review and wondering whether it's worth the visit, let me save you the trouble of deciding: GO! Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your appetite, and whatever you do, DON'T overlook the Catfish and Grits!

Everything was soooo good. We had shrimp, fish and grits. 2egg breakfast w/bacon and Belgium Waffle. Oxtails and Grits. Bucket. (Tipsy) lol and FULL!!

My friend always come here and that was my first time. I have been looking and wanting some shrimps and grits. Happy I decided to get them because they were delicious. You will not be disappointed. 10/10 will be getting this again.

Let me tell you something, Uptown Kitchen & Bar knows how to do BREAKFAST! 🔥 I ordered the Breakfast Plate, and I can confidently say this is the kind of meal that makes you appreciate a good morning! There's something special about sitting down to a breakfast that genuinely hits the spot. No unnecessary gimmicks, no trying too hard, just good food that leaves you satisfied and already thinking about coming back.

10/10! The catfish was seasoned perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. And the red beans and rice? SO good! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and had that real homemade taste. You can definitely tell they put love into the food. I'll absolutely be coming back again! ❤️🔥

Chicken & Waffles 🐔🧇 The absolute best I've ever had! We had a group of us for girls brunch and oh my what a delight! 😋 Can't really decide if the 🐔&🧇 was my Favorite or the 🐠 & gouda grits. Oh my, goodness 😋

My Mom and I were visiting Jacksonville for the weekend and wanted to grab breakfast before heading home. I asked a friend for some suggestions and Uptown Kitchen & Bar was one of them. And man are we sure glad we went. Our server Lanese was wonderful...friendly and answered our questions as we were trying to decide. The portions were big and worth every penny. The chicken on the chicken & waffles was fried perfectly and loved that the waffle had the fruit and whip cream which my Mom loves. As for my breakfast bowl, the sausage gravy blew me away. I am not usually a fan of the southern gravy and usually get it on the side to taste, but I went all in and got it on my food and I am so glad I did. I even had to get an extra side of it. Already looking forward to the next time we are in Jacksonville to go here again.

Best Breakfast Dish On The Menu in my opinion Fish is always Cooked perfect it takes a skill to cook catfish correctly and they nail it everytime and Grits Are Always Good. Love The Place Forever A Customer
